on his way to find a place to land
miguel lopez de legazpi found a place full of sand.
he named it the philippines after the king of spain
'cause finding the island cost him no pain.
Manila was it's capital and the spanish forces thought this was a great place to trade
so they thought they could also change how they prayed.
they opened schools to teach them how to be christian
the spanish forces made this their mission.
thankfully this mission was not a mission impossible
'cause the Filipinos started to do wha the spanish forces wanted them to.
so in the end, they loved the religion
and learned new meals to cook in the kitchen
